Brother ScanNCut DX

Brother ScanNCutDX

As a content creator it’s always really exciting when a brand you know and love reaches out to you to review one of their latest products. When Brother reached out to send me their Disney  ScanNCut DX SDX230Di Electronic Cutting Machine, the latest addition to the ScanNCut DX seriesI was elated. Brother is a brand I have trusted from childhood through my transition into adulthood for so many of my needs. Printers for school essays, sewing machines for my outfits, label makers for my pantry products. The options are endless and never let me down.

The ScanNCut DX is a home hobby machine with capabilities to cut your favorite shapes and  words out onto vinyl or cardstock that you can apply onto pillows, scrapbooks, fabrics (like T-shirts), drink tumblers, etc. The only limitations of what you can create with this machine are the limits of your own mind.

In comparison to competitors out there (per Brother’s website) “The ScanNCut DX is the only affordable and versatile cutting machine with a built-in scanner for making all of life's moments stand out.”

I knew I wanted to decorate a fun tote bag to bring to the parks. On long Disney days I need a bag big enough to carry all my essentials, so why not make it Disney themed?!

Upon unboxing the Disney ScanNCut DX, the first thing I noticed was the adorable Mickey and Minnie Mouse embossed on the front. It truly made my Disney heart smile! After powering on the digital display (how cool!), I popped open the tray, attached my iron on vinyl to the included cutting mat, and loaded it into the tray. I was SO impressed to see that the machine came preprogrammed with over 150 Disney designs and tons of additional non-Disney themed designs!

The process was super simple. I chose some Minnie themed designs from the easy-to-use display. It showed me exactly where on the vinyl the patterns would be placed, and the touch screen gave me the option to move the pieces around. Once I hit cut, the machine smoothly and quickly cut out my design onto the mat. I was able to pull away the excess vinyl to reveal my adorable Minnie Mouse shapes which I ironed onto my tote bag! It was SO easy and took less than 10 minutes!

I can’t wait to continue making beautiful projects on my Disney ScanNCut DX for my home and friends. Brother hit it out of the park once again in being a trusted source for home and office appliances. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

It's always the best feeling in the world when people ask me where I got my Disney outfits from or how I put them together. I typically go for a vintage style look

This will be the first of a DisneyBounding style guide series. Each photo of an item is a link taking you to the item with pricing as well. Enjoy! :)

Protein Packed Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Delicious Protein Packed Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

I have been forever in the search of a delicious and sweet breakfast treat that doesn't make me feel completely guilty after I've chowed down wayyyy more than I should. After some trial and error i came up with this not only deeelish recipe but its also completely clean and jam packed with protein!

There are SO many optional choices within this recipe that allows you to make it customizable to you and your family's likes and preferences. Even down to the protein powder. On numerous occasions I have chosen to make it without the powder for the different taste and texture the pancakes have without it!

36 Hours in Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. Is one of my favorite cities in the world. There is never a dull moment. This city is rich in history and culture. It is a true melting pot.

Oh and most importantly my bestie Sharae (@raesimone) lives here! So I decided on mostly a whim to go visit her for the weekend!

Saturday morning 11am: Brunch Vinoteca DC

My dear friend Anna (@pinup.pooh) joined us for a lovely bottomless mimosa brunch!

The food was beyond delicious and the drinks were bottomless. The meal was a little bit on the pricier end. My bill came out to around $50 after tip but I think it was well worth the money spent. I loved the location of this restaurant in Columbia Heights. It was a modern yet very casual part of town.

Hello Darlings!

Welcome to my Blog!

This has been a process in the making for the last few years and I am so excited to be finally launching it!

I hope to highlight a few things on this blog but the main topics will be affordable Disney themed fashion (as shown on my insta), travel, and the amazing foods I find at the parks and on my travels!

A little about me:

My name is Nikki

I'm a foodie, a coffee connoisseur, a Disney darling, and a wanderlust seeker!

I live in Jacksonville, FL but grew up in the Orlando, FL area.
I think this is how I found my true love for Disney! I grew up going to the parks with my family as often as we could!
