Special Summer Event at Walt Disney World

Everyone knows about Walt Disney World and its corresponding four main theme parks. But did you know Walt Disney World also has two water parks?!

I am partnering with Enterprise (the official rent - a - car of Walt Disney World and Disneyland) to tell you about a super special summer Disney World event called H2O Glow Nights!

This is a special after-hours event at Typhoon Lagoon, one of Disney’s two water parks! This water park boasts a huge surf pool with waves reaching as high as six feet, a lazy river, kiddie section, and many water slides! All under lifeguard supervision, of course. 

The event is exactly what it sounds like: a Glow Party at a waterpark! What makes this event extra special are the following perks:

1. Character dance parties with a DJ! You can dance alongside Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends as a DJ blasts music and performers in glow costumes break it down with you right on the beach! This was the highlight of the event for me!

2. The park isn’t crowded at all! Because this is a special ticketed after-hours event, capacity is limited—meaning you can ride EVERYTHING and still have time to relax in the lazy river or get tossed around by the wave pool! 

3. Popcorn and ice cream are included in the ticket cost! Enjoy as many boxes of popcorn, Mickey Premium Bars, Strawberry Fruit Bars, and Mickey ice cream sandwiches as your heart desires! 

4. Special food offerings ONLY for H2O Glow Nights! The regular daytime Typhoon Lagoon menus are taken down and a special H2O menu is put up! Ever tried colorful lo-mein or glowing chicken and waffles? Now you can! 

5. Soda is included! Enjoy as many sodas as you like at quick service locations!

6. Need transportation? Enterprise has a rental car location on site! They make it super easy to get around the entire Disney property for special events like this one that will provide memories that last a lifetime!

When most people stay at a hotel, they expect basic amenities: their room cleaned each morning, simple soap in the bathroom, and a coffee maker. But staying at an on-site Walt Disney World resort hotel offers SO MUCH MORE! I could talk all day about why you should stay on-site for your Disney vacation! 

I am partnering with Enterprise (the official car rental company of Disney) to share my top 5 favorite Walt Disney World resort hotel amenities!

1. The Pool - Holy Moly talk about a themed masterpiece! Disney’s resort pools are more than a basic tank filled with water. Each pool has its own theme created in line with the theme of the resort. Deluxe and Moderate resort pools also come with water slides AND pool bars! You can grab lunch and relax in the style of your stunning surroundings! 

2. Restaurants – a basic off-site hotel typically does not have restaurant offerings. If they do, it's typically something basic and from a freezer. But not at Disney! All on-site Disney resorts have restaurants. This makes grabbing breakfast before your theme park day or dinner afterward a breeze! Each Value resort has a quick service option. The quick service dining at the Value resorts usually have several different stations where you can find many varying food options. You can grab and go! Moderate and Deluxe resorts offer both quick service and fancier sit-down dining options. This makes things so much easier to find the best dining fit for your family without leaving the resort.

 

3. In-room amenities – Yes, each room has a coffee maker and soap. BUT Disney has partnered with a legitimate skincare company to bring their guests some of the best bathroom products on the market. Talk about feeling luxurious! And if you like the products enough, you can even buy them in the gift shop!

4. Gym/Spa – Do you prioritize wellness while on vacation? Many resorts offer on-site state-of-the-art gyms and spas. Gym reservations are not required, but spa reservations are. This makes it so easy to prioritize your health—even while on vacation! Take a moment for yourself to really unwind after a long day of exploring Disney. After your spa treatment, you will soon realize that you feel rejuvenated and more ready than ever to take on another full day at the parks!

 

5. Transportation – The biggest perk to staying on-site is the ease of transportation. Each resort offers bus services to and from the parks.  Some resorts have a monorail service that will take you to the Magic Kingdom. BUT did you know that there is an Enterprise Rent-A-Car facility located on Disney’s property? Talk about ease and convenience for getting around while you are on vacation! Renting a car right there and using it to get around the property provides an ultimate ease and convenience that you can't get staying anywhere else! Added bonus: Enterprise offers a complimentary shuttle with door-to-door service from your resort hotel to the facility!
